History

2 years of Fusion World

From the 2024 launch to 2026. New sets, new parallels and the moments that shaped the game, by Japanese release date.

01 — 2023–2024

The beginning

  1. Fusion World is announced

Announced for 2024, on both tabletop and digital.

  2. Booster Pack Awakened Pulse (FB01)

    Series

The first set, released with four Starter Decks (Son Goku, Vegeta, Broly and Frieza). Parallels and Super Parallels have been included since this first set.

  3. The digital version launches

  4. Blazing Aura (FB02)

Released in English the same day.

  5. Raging Roar (FB03)

  6. Ultra Limit (FB04)

Released the same day as the first Starter Decks with Dragon Ball DAIMA characters (Son Goku (Mini) and Vegeta (Mini)).

02 — 2025

A world championship, and Manga Boosters

  1. New Adventure (FB05)

The first booster set to feature characters from the anime Dragon Ball DAIMA.

  2. The first world championship

CHAMPIONSHIP 2024-2025 GRAND FINALS in Pasadena, USA (March 29–30, local time). The tabletop division brought together 16 qualifiers from Japan, North America, Europe, Asia and more.

  3. Rivals Clash (FB06)

  4. Starter Decks EX Shallot (FS09) and Giblet (FS10)

Two decks released together in a collaboration with Dragon Ball Legends, with every card in foil.

  5. MANGA BOOSTER 01 (SB01)

    Series

A pack using Akira Toriyama’s manga artwork.

  6. Wish for Shenron (FB07)

    Visual Parallels debut.

  7. MANGA BOOSTER 02 (SB02)

  8. Saiyan’s Pride (FB08)

03 — 2026

New rarities, and story packs

  1. DUAL EVOLUTION (FB09)

Leader Super Parallels arrive as a new rarity.

  2. CROSS FORCE (FB10)

  3. STORY BOOSTER 01 (ST01)

    Series

A pack following the Majin Buu saga. Leader parallels are foil on both sides for the first time.

  4. BRIGHTNESS OF HOPE (FB11)

On cards with heavy foil finishes, such as parallels and Super Parallels, small surface scratches and corner and edge whitening are more likely to make the difference between grades.

Knowledge

Collector's Notes

  • Reading the card number

"FB01-139" in the bottom right is the card number. FB is a booster pack, FS a Starter Deck, SB a Manga Booster, ST a Story Booster and FP a promo.

  • ★ marks a parallel

A ★ after the rarity below the number, as in "SR★", marks a parallel, and ★★, as in "SCR★★", a Super Parallel.

  • Alternate art without a ★

Some alternate-art cards, such as manga-art reprints in Manga Boosters, carry no ★. The rarity mark alone can’t always tell you whether a card is a parallel.

  • Leaders are double-sided

Leader cards have art on both sides, printed "FRONT" and "BACK".

  • Japanese and English cards

Numbers and rarities are written the same way. Tell them apart by the card text and the copyright line (©B/S・T on Japanese cards, ©B.S./S., T.A. on English ones).

  • A different game from before

Fusion World is a separate game from the Dragon Ball Super Card Game that began in 2017, and the cards can’t be mixed. Numbers starting with FB, FS, SB, ST or FP (E for Energy Markers) mark a Fusion World card.

How to Submit

Tips for your submission

Where to find the card number

The number in the bottom right, such as "FB07-121", is the card number, and "FB07" is the code of the set it comes from. Search the set field by code or set name.

Some cards appear in later sets or other products with their original number, such as parallels and reprints. Choose the product they actually came in, not the number.

  • Choosing the rarity

Parallels appear as a rarity plus parallel, such as "Super Rare / Parallel". Choose "Super Rare / Parallel" for SR★ and "Secret Rare / Super Parallel" for SCR★★.

  • English cards

English cards use the same numbers and rarities as Japanese ones. Select "English" as the card language when you submit.

  • Yes, with Crossover. We remove the card from the slab (PSA, CGC or BGS) and grade it again at Gemix. Because we grade on our own standards, the grade may differ from the original.
